On Most store shelves you will see two different types of coconut oil, Virgin Coconut Oil and Coconut Oil..their are many discriptors that can be used in front of these terms to distinguish them and some of them can be quite confusing..Refined coconut oil, unrefined coconut oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, RBD Coconut Oil, Refined Bleached, and Deodorized Coconut Oil, Pure Coconut Oil, 92 degree Coconut Oil, 76 degree Coconut Oil, copra Oil, crude coconut oil.... and I'm pretty sure I forgot some.
For most consumers however, the important question is:
Is this coconut oil Refined or Unrefined?
Our Dua Dua Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is UNREFINED..which means it exists in the bottle the same way it exists in nature..no additives, no processing..nada..
the alternative is REFINED Coconut oil, which means that the coconut oil has been heat treated and chemically treated to make it safe for human consumption..basically it is made from dirty coconuts that need to be cleaned up before making them edible..as opposed to UNREFINED Coconut oil that is made from FRESH coconuts, such as Dua Dua Coconuts..
