Coconut oil melts at 76 degrees Fahrenheit in nature (however there is some coconut oil that takes heat of more than 92 plus degrees to melt, this 92 degree coconut oil has been hydrogenated, and we do not work with this product)
The colder the air temperature, the harder your coconut oil will be and thus harder to get out of a jar. The closer the air temperature gets to 76 degrees, the easier the coconut oil will be to scoop out of the jar. And any prolonged air temperature over 76 degrees your coconut oil will turn to clear liquid oil.
Below are 3 simple ways to get your coconut oil melted or easier to scoop out of a jar..
1. Put the jar on top of the refrigerator- Yes, its true, the coils on the back of the refrigerator are expelling hot air, so simply setting your jar on the top of the refrigerator, toward the back, will usually get your coconut oil to a continually liquid state if stored in that location.
2. Set your jar of coconut oil in got water- this is a no brainer, simply boil water in a pot, turn off the burner and set the jar inside..
3. Put your jar on top of the hot water heater- Simply place your jar of coconut oil on your hot water heater.
